BEHIND THE BROADCAST: BALANCING THE PUBLIC PERSONA AND PERSONAL JOURNEY OF EMMA BARNETT

In this final episode before the break I talk to Emma Barnett - journalist, broadcaster and friend - as she takes me through her life and career journey. Known for her work on Woman's Hour, Newsnight, and now the Radio 4's Today Programme, Emma takes me back to her first roles, discusses the moment she felt she'd broken through, the rejection she's faced along the way and the entrepreneurial spirit that has helped her forge her own path. All of this lived through the lens of chronic pain from endometriosis. We also talk career ambition, Emma's coining of the phrase 'maternity service', how she makes it all work, and plans for the future. Lots of moments of reflection and insight from a brave and brilliant broadcaster.
